Women's Botanically Dyed T-Shirts
Wear the colors of the earth. Each one-of-a-kind, plant-fiber t-shirt is naturally-dyed by hand, with whole plants and minerals, nothing extra. Materials used in this limited run include avocado (pink), iron (grey), osage bark (yellow), alum (for color-fastness), and Illinois-foraged acorns (brown). Shibori and ombre techniques are employed to create unique patterns.
T-shirts are hemp (which naturally filters UV and is bacteria resistant) and organic cotton or bamboo. All shirts are sewn with sustainable fibers, in small and family-owned factories in China and India which are vetted for fair working conditions. Fit is "athletic", not too tight, not too baggy. If you prefer a looser fit, size up.
All naturally-dyed garments change with time. Expect some fading. To maintain the best color, wash cold in a gentle pH-neutral detergent like Ecos or Seventh Generation and do not dry or store in direct sunlight. Hang to dry indoors.
Commercially and synthetically dyed fabrics can include dangerous chemicals like arylamines and be hazardous to the workers dyeing them. Now there's a chance to wear something dyed with ingredients you see in your kitchen, out in nature, and can feel good about putting on your body!
